Carlee Marcello

President

Carlee is majoring in Marketing and Management. She has studied abroad at Konan University in Kobe, Japan twice, during Summer 2024 and Spring 2026, where she studied the Japanese language and further developed her interest in Japanese culture. Outside of school and BEST, she enjoys ballet, Pilates, and all things matcha. In the future, she hopes to pursue a career in digital marketing in Japan and eventually open a bakery of her own.

BEST has played a meaningful role throughout Carlee’s college journey, giving her opportunities, connections, and a community that have helped shape her experience at Shidler. As a member of the Executive Board, she hopes to give back by strengthening the close-knit community that made BEST so special to her and helping members find their own sense of belonging within the organization. Most importantly, she hopes to bring a strong sense of BEST pride to the club and create experiences and memories that members can carry with them beyond college. You may also see her dog, Minnie, making an appearance at BEST events!

Jenna Weigelt

Vice President

Jenna is majoring in International Business, Marketing, and Management. She joined BEST in Fall 2023 and previously served as Director of Corporate Relations in Fall 2024. Her college experience has also taken her across the world, studying abroad at Copenhagen Business School in Denmark during Fall 2025 and Keio University in Tokyo, Japan during Spring 2026. Outside of school and BEST, she loves traveling and spending time at the beach.

As a member of the Executive Board, Jenna hopes to foster a welcoming and supportive community where members can build meaningful connections and make the most of their time in BEST. She also hopes to help members grow professionally, expand their networks, and gain experiences that will support them throughout college and into their future careers.

Cole Schmidt

Secretary

Cole is majoring in Accounting and Finance. Outside of school and BEST, he enjoys playing basketball and giving back to the game through coaching. His involvement in basketball has helped shape his appreciation for teamwork, leadership, and building strong relationships with those around him.

Cole decided to join the Executive Board as an opportunity to give back to BEST and contribute to the community that the organization has created. Through his role, he hopes to build stronger connections among members while creating opportunities for both personal and professional growth. He looks forward to helping members make meaningful connections and get the most out of their experience in BEST.

Ryzen Vicencio

Treasurer

Ryzen is majoring in Finance and has gained experience in the financial industry through his previous work as a bank teller. Outside of school and BEST, he enjoys spending time with friends, listening to music, playing video games, and drawing.

Ryzen decided to join the Executive Board as an opportunity to give back to BEST and help ensure the club continues to grow for future members. Through managing budgets, tracking expenses, and organizing the club’s finances, he hopes to provide a strong foundation for BEST’s activities and initiatives. He also looks forward to supporting his fellow Executive Board members wherever needed and contributing to the continued success of the organization.

Connor McIntosh

Information Technology Officer

Connor is majoring in Finance, Management Information Systems, and Marketing. Throughout his time at Shidler, he has been involved in several student organizations and professional experiences that have strengthened his interest in building relationships and connecting with others. Outside of school, Connor enjoys going to the gym, going on random side quests with friends, and enjoying a nice cup of black coffee. Looking ahead, he hopes to pursue a career in banking where he can combine his interests in finance and relationship management while continuing to build connections within Hawaiʻi’s business community.

Connor joined the Executive Board because he wanted to give back to a community that welcomed him with open arms and made his experience at Shidler more meaningful. In his role as Information Technology Officer, he hopes to keep BESTies connected while highlighting the accomplishments and experiences of members throughout the organization. Most importantly, he wants to help strengthen the close-knit culture of BEST and create an environment where members can build genuine friendships, grow professionally, and feel a strong sense of belonging.

Victoria Brown

Director of Corporate Relations

Victoria plans to major in Finance and Management, with a future interest in pursuing a career in project or brand management. Outside of school and BEST, she practices Judo and has a twin sister who is currently studying abroad in Japan. While she has not studied abroad yet, she hopes to spend a semester in both South Korea and Denmark to experience different approaches to business in Asia and Europe.

As a freshman and new recruit, Victoria joined BEST in Fall 2025, unsure of what career path she wanted to pursue. Through Professional Interaction Night and company tours, she was introduced to new career opportunities while building meaningful connections with professionals. These experiences inspired her to run for Director of Corporate Relations and give future BESTies the same opportunities she received. In her role, she hopes every member walks away with at least one meaningful professional connection or company experience that helps them better understand the career paths available to them.

Bree Matayoshi

Director of Finance

Bree is majoring in Finance, Human Resource Management, and Management. She joined BEST in Fall 2025 as a freshman in the Direct Admit Program and quickly found a strong sense of community within the organization. Outside of school and BEST, she enjoys watching sitcoms, cooking, and playing mahjong. In the future, she hopes to study abroad in South Korea in Spring 2027 and Copenhagen in Fall 2028.

After experiencing the personal and professional growth that BEST provided during her first year, Bree decided to join the Executive Board as an opportunity to give back to the organization and its members. In her role, she hopes to create fundraisers that support professional development events and provide BESTies with more opportunities to expand their networks, build meaningful connections, and grow professionally.

Tony Dewa

Director of Human Resources

Tony joined BEST in Fall 2025 and quickly found a community that welcomed him and introduced him to people he now considers lifelong friends. Outside of BEST, he is a member of the esports team and is known for being a killer dancer. Whether at a BEST event or just spending time with friends, Tony brings an energy that can light up any room he walks into.

After seeing how much BEST helped him grow both personally and professionally, Tony decided to run for the Executive Board as a way to give back and show his appreciation for the organization. His position allows him to create social events that bring BESTies closer together and strengthen the friendships that make the club special. Through his role, he hopes to give members the same welcoming community and meaningful connections that have made his own BEST experience so impactful.

Faith May

Director of Marketing

Faith is majoring in Marketing and Human Resource Management, with hopes of pursuing a career in marketing where she can incorporate her interest in graphic design into her work. She also loves traveling, especially for the opportunity to try new foods, see new places, and learn about different cultures. In the future, she hopes to study abroad in either Denmark or Australia.

As a member of the Executive Board, Faith hopes to showcase what makes the BEST community special by highlighting the accomplishments of its members and the role BEST has played in their journeys. Through her work, she wants to recognize the achievements of BESTies while showing how the connections, experiences, and support within the club can help members reach their personal and professional goals.

Kellie Rother

Inter-Business Council Senator

Kellie is a Senior majoring in Management and International Business. Originally from Pennsylvania, she has been a member of BEST since her first semester of freshman year and has spent six semesters growing alongside the organization. Outside of school and BEST, she enjoys outdoor activities, shopping, and spending time with friends. After graduating, she hopes to use her business background to one day own and operate a cosmetics company.

Having experienced BEST throughout most of her college journey, Kellie decided to join the Executive Board to help bring back the strong culture and sense of community she remembers from when she first joined. She hopes to grow the club, strengthen relationships with other business organizations, and create an environment where students feel like they belong and are surrounded by like-minded individuals. With a large class of members recently graduating, she looks forward to helping build the next generation of BESTies and continuing the community that made her experience so meaningful.

Alison Funai

Director of Career Development

With a passion for accounting and helping others grow, Alison joined the executive board as Director of Career to give back to the community that made her first year of college so memorable. After gaining valuable experience through BEST’s professional development workshops and Mock Interviews, she hopes to provide members with those same opportunities to grow personally and professionally. Alison is pursuing majors in Accounting and Finance, with an interest in MIS, and plans to work toward her CPA before beginning a career in public accounting as an auditor. In the future, she hopes to explore forensic accounting or a career that combines accounting and information systems.

Outside of school and BEST, Alison enjoys kung fu and lion dancing, bead and sequin embroidery, and spending time with friends. Through her role, she hopes to help every member feel like they have a place in BEST, encourage them to become the best versions of themselves, and build stronger connections throughout the Shidler community.
